equipment breakdown

This page is a work in progress, but here is the most basic information about what equipment I use/recommend. If you're reading this, stay tuned :).

camera bodies

Canon EOS 6D MK2

I originally set out to get the Canon 5D MK4 (pictured below because I would still recommend that if you have the budget)... But I don't have the money for that! So I settled for this one, and I LOVE IT. It is flawless for everything that I need, plus if I decide to upgrade in the future, all of my lenses work. I use it for photo and video. It's a full-frame body with 1080p video capabilities.

Canon EOS 5D MK 4

This camera has been recommended to me by all my photographer friends, so I thought I would pass the idea down to you if it's within your means. It's a full-frame body with 4k video capabilities. Lower ISO numbers and higher MP capabilities than my camera.

lenses

Sigma 35mm f1.4

This is what I shoot most of my content with. It is most similar to shooting with an old school -- It allows the subject to be in focus while still showing the scenery. I love it. It has great focal length and versatility. Definitely my favorite.

Sigma 24mm f1.4

I bought this lens based off of a recommendation from DoYouTravel who says "This is pretty much my go-to lens and probably my favourite of all lenses. I don’t often shoot wider than 24mm so I use it for most of my landscapes, streets, etc. It’s super fast, versatile, and sharp. It’s also Canon’s best lens for shooting the Milky Way (even though this isn’t something I shoot often)"
